They offer authentic pho and other delicious dishes. They have friendly customers service and they are located in a friendly and serene environment. They have savoury, rich, and delicious slices and chunks of the most delicate meat. They also have delicious menus for vegetarians.

This is one of the most patronized restaurants on the University of Northern Colorado’s campus. They have one of the best pizza and salad. They serve nice, simple, clean, inexpensive, good food, and a large menu. You can also get homemade pasta, ravioli, cakes, salad and ice cream from them.

This restaurant never disappoint with the quality food they serve. You can get delicious food with as low as $5. They have lots of topping choices and their dough is soft and yummy. They also serve appetizers live spinach artichoke dip, garlic toast, cheese bread, Italian nachos, and mozzarella sticks.

4. Fonta’s Restaurant

Fonta’s has been around since the 60s. It is currently owned by a gentleman who worked for Fonta when he was in high school. The same food, traditions, etc. have been there for decades. The pizza is an excellent thin crust. They also have spaghetti, calzones, etc. The twist is, they have a great Greek Salad and Gyro’s.

5. John Galt Coffee Co.

Customers are always impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the quality and low price of the coffee and the interior of this location. They service the best coffee in the entire of the University of Northern Colorado.

6. Chipotle Mexican Grill

This is the best place where lovers can hang out for dinner. The have cool, serene and peaceful environment. Although, they have expensive foods, but an average student can afford them. All their dishes are authentic and most of them are available in mild, medium or hot for spice temperature. They operate form 11:00am to 9:00pm every day.

7. Cranford Cove Tea Tavern

This is one of the cheapest cafés you can find around. This place is cute and comfortable for both after workout or business meet over coffee. They have lovely and friendly owners and staffs. Their tea is within the range of $5 to $20 depending on your order.

1. High Plains Library

One of the main libraries on campus is the high plains library. This building offers a ton to you as a student. It is important to visit this library frequently and take advantage of the resources.

A more niche library is the skinner music library. If you are studying music, this will be a great place for you to visit. There are  always librarians here that will help you succeed.

There is also a facility on campus dedicated to the library reserves and archives. The information here includes documents and other forms of rare artifacts. This is a very interesting place to work at.

Similar to the archives facility is the special collections library. The difference here is that it is much bigger and has information pertaining mostly towards the university itself. If you are studying the school, this is a great place to look for information.

1. American Indian Student Organization

This club focuses specifically on Native American culture. Understanding and knowledge of this culture is found by studying current issues. The organization often works together with NASS.

2. Bear Den

This club focuses on school spirit and involvement. Run by students for students, the Bear Den supports athletic teams and school pride. Community and camaraderie.

3. Caminando Unidos

This organization is one that all students can be part of, though it is specifically geared towards Dreamers and allies. The goal is to create a safe environment for Dreamers and receive support. Resources invluce study hours, academic support, tutoring, events and retreats.

4. Clay Club

This organization focuses on ceramic arts. It is not limited to the UNC community as well as the surrounding Greeley community. The club hosts pottery sales, lectures and workshops that include visiting artists.

This music organization meets monthly to provide opportunities for students in music. It is a professional organization regarding the knowledge of music practices. Music education, philosophy and function are discussed during meetings.

6. Halau Hula ‘O Ha’aheo

This organization seeks to bring the unique culture of Hawaii. The club represents the desire to share their unique culture and Spirit of Aloha with the university. Meetings are bi-weekly.

7. Manifesto Theater

This is a theater company at the University of Northern Colorado. It provides students with a platform to produce their student work. Practicing artists can also use this as an inclusive creative outlet.

This organization with bi-weekly meetings focuses on performance. The concentration is on social action to promote community unity. Collaboration between the theater and music programs is something that the this group strives to foster.

9. Ping Pong Club

Not every university has an official ping pong club. UNC does! This club is open to all players of all skill levels. Tournaments, doubles and singles are all available. The goal is to provide a “fun, casual way” to meet new people.

The printmaking club seeks to inform the community of visual arts, specifically printing. Modern day printmaking as well as historical context of printmaking is discussed at their weekly meetings. Local art is also frequently showcased.

Top Events During the School Year at Rider

1. Catalyst: Social Justice Retreat

This retreat in held in January, is a three-day retreat. Participants must apply by November in order to be considered to attend. The focus of this retreat in Estes Park is to discuss diversity and social action. Students, faculty and staff alike attend.

2. Relay for Life

A popular event on college campuses, Relay for Life raises money and awareness for cancer. Students can come together and form teams to raise the most amount of money for cancer research. The event is usually held early April.

3. Basketball Season

The University of Northern Colorado is a Division I school and spirit is everywhere. If you have an interest in athletics of school spirit, the Tar Heels basketball season will keep you on the edge of your seat.

4. Homecoming Weekend

Mid-October marks Homecoming Weekend at UNC. Along with football, alumni, and post-game parties, this weekend is one of celebration, win or lose.

5. Bear Brawl

This gaming festival at UNC is one of the most popular in the nation. It a free event hosted by the eSports club. The festival allows attendees to play games, battle their friends, try out new things and more. It is usually late February.

Top 10 Residence Halls at UNCO

At the University of Northern Colorado (UNCO), there are different places to live and enjoy your college experience. There are multiple residence halls (from suite style to traditional style rooms) to live at located in different locations of the campus. Residence hall contracts are for an academic year.

This residence hall is closest to the Campus Recreation Center and Michener Library and is a short walk from Holmes Dining Hall and west campus academic buildings.

2. Lawrenson Hall

Lawrenson Hall is a  17-story building with standard 4-person suites and 2-person studio apartment. Each floor contains a study lounge that allows students to use.  This is also located on West Campus of UNC.

3. North Hall

North Hall was built in 2009 and replaced McCowen Hall. This building is located on West Campus of UNC. It has different styles of suites, such as 4 people with 2 beds in each room with a living area. There is also a shared bedroom and 2 singles with a living area.

Similarly to North Hall, South has the same style of suites for student living. It is just located further south on West Campus.

5. Turner Hall

Brown Hall was built in 1930 and is home to 34 students. Brown Hall is part of Presidents Row community on Central Campus.

Snyder Hall was built in 1936. In 1999, the building was renovated and has rooms that are specially designed for ADA accessibility. Snyder Hall has 3 floors in which they house around 108 students.

Hansen-Willis was built in 1999 and houses about 108 students on co-ed floors. Hansen-Willis is the front desk for Central Coalition, a group of residence halls on Central Campus.

Gordon Hall was built in 1921 along with Belford and Decker Halls. Gordon Hall houses 28 students in two-person rooms with bathrooms and showers on each floor. Gordon has more of a homie touch to it compared to the others. It is located in Center Campus as well.

10 of the Easiest Classes at the University of Northern Colorado

The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) offers an extraneous amount of courses for students to take. Some of those classes being easier than others, which can be fun to take as well as help relieve stress levels while focusing on the harder classes. These are the 10 easiest classes at the University of Northern Colorado that can also get you a high GPA.

1. PSY 265 – Social Psychology

This is a 3 credit course at UNCO that looks into the major social areas in psychology and in human behavior when in social situations. With a basic in general psychology, this class is relatively easy.

2. ART 333 – Life Drawing

While there are a few pre-requisite classes that must be taken before one can enroll in this class including ART 181, 182, 183, 184, and 234, this class is set aside for sophomores and above. Focusing on the fundamentals of drawing life forms and the human body, this class is one of the easier art courses at UNCO and offers 3 credits upon completion.

3. HIST 118 – History of Mexico

Covering content of Mexican history dating back to Pre-Columbian times, this class goes into depth on the socioeconomic, political, cultural, and societal change that has occurred throughout Mexican history and is very interesting.

4. SOC 237 – Sociology of Minorities

Examining the relationships and interactions of status and power in minority groups in social situations, this class looks into the historical development of sociological changes in minority groups across time.

5. COMM 100 – Basics of Public Speaking

A 1 credit class, this course is very easy and teaches the basics of effective communication via public speaking and how to overcome nervousness in order to properly influence and persuade an audience.

6. FILM 120 – Introduction to Film

A class where you practically get to watch movies and analyze them, this class is fun, easy, and interesting as students get to watch and analyze a variety of film genres made in Hollywood and non-Hollywood settings.

7. PSCI 306 – Constitutional Law

If you’re one who is interested in politics and the governmental system, then this is one of the easier classes that UNCO offers that might be worth your while. Only available to sophomores and upper-class students, this class looks at the political system and how the Supreme Court’s decisions involving civil liberties between them and all other branches of the government.

8. GEOL 390 – Colorado Geology

One of the more interesting courses at UNCO, Colorado Geology looks at the different rocks, minerals, fossils, landforms, oil, and geological hazards found in the state of Colorado. There are pre-requisites to this class including GEOL 100 or GEOL 201.

9. MUS 307 – History of Instruments and Instrumental Practice

This class focuses on the historical comings and development of musical instruments and the ways they are used to perform with when played. If you’re a music buff and are looking for an easy class to take, then this is one worth looking into.

10. BAMK 366 – Retailing

Offered to business majors and juniors and above only, this is one of the easiest classes to take at UNCO. An intro course into the world of retail institutions, students learn how retail stores operate and what impact they have in the business world.
