3. Robert Roy Owen Scholarship
If you are entering into an engineering degree, you can apply for the Robert Roy Owen Scholarship. Although there is no designated amount, it is worth your while to apply. Online applications can be submitted to the College of Engineering by November 31.
4. Oliver Leonard Memorial Scholarship
Also due on November 31 is the online application for the Oliver Leonard Memorial Scholarship. There is no specific amount of money for this award, but it is surely enough to make an impact. This scholarship is specifically for students of the biological sciences.
5. Class of ’94 Scholarship Fund
The Class of ’94 Scholarship Fund is for incoming students who want to get a leg up on their tuition costs. Although we are not sure of the amount for this year, the deadline will be November 31. It is open to any student and will be based off need and merit.
6. James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program
The James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program is for graduating seniors who would like to consider graduate school. Students who will be participating in one of the Carnegie area of focus for that given year are eligible for one year of paid program. This is a great opportunity to attend grad school for significantly less money.
7. AG Bell College Scholarship Program
As long are you are working toward a four-year degree, you can apply for the AG Bell College Scholarship Program. Students must have at least a 3.25 GPA to apply and the amount changes yearly. The application can be found at agbell.org and the deadline is March 1.
8. American Council of Engineering Companies Scholarship
The American Council of Engineering Companies Scholarship is designated for engineering students who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Also, these students need to be entering their junior or senior year. You can earn up to $50,000 as long as they fill out the online application at acec-ca.org by the beginning of January.
9. California Tour Guide Scholarship
The California Tour Guide Scholarship is designed for students who have financial need. The application process includes an introduction video and an essay. As long as you enter before December 31, you could have the chance to win $1000.
10. Explore the World Scholarship
The final great scholarship listed is the Explore the World Scholarship. If you plan on studying abroad or taking an international trip, this $2000 award will help with travel expenses. The application is due at the end of March and 98 students in the United States will receive money.
