Are you a creator who is looking for an outlet? This class will focus on the various principles of creative writing. Students will be able to learn more about composition of poetry, how writers edit writing, and how to grow as a writer.

4. CWR 315 – Life Is Short, Art is Really Short

This class will focus on literature as it relates to short-lived lives. Students will be able to learn more about the different aspects of poetry, riddles, haiku, aphorisms, and contemporary writings. These concepts will help you to concentrate more on analyzing readings as well.

5. MUS 104 – No Audit When Music Is Made

This class is an introduction to the fundamentals of music theory. Students will be able to participate in various exercises which includes composition, transcription, ear-training, and analyzing music. Students will also be able to learn about music history.

6. ANT 223- Policing and Militarization Today

 Students taking this class will be able to learn more about transnational issues that regard polices. Students will learn about drawing different theories and methods that are needed for analyzing militarization and policing as well.

7. MUS 103 – Introduction to Music

Students in this class will gain an introduction into music. Students will be able to learn about Western art music, different works in music, and basic elements within Western music. Students will also be introduced pitch, melody, harmony, and more.

8. ANT 250 – The Reality Effect: Film and Visual Culture in Anthropology

Students who take this class will be able to explore culture and and analyze different aspects of culture. Students will also be able to study ethnographic and documentary films. This includes learning about visual culture and short films as well.

9. SOC 412 – Designing Social and Behavioral Field Experiments at Scale

Students in this class will focus on social behavior. This class will examine online platforms by monitoring and intervening. Students will also be able to learn about governing human and machine behavior that facilitates different aspects of the world. 

10. SOC 369 –  Class and Culture

This class will examine cultures of class within society in America. Students will learn and ask about the what of peoples’ identities. Students will also be able to learn more about popular culture, mass media, and cultural consumption.
