This class will introduce students to safety tips and equipment for climbing rock walls and even on the mountains of Alaska. this class will feature practices in tying knots, belay, basic descending, and top-rope climbing.

8. MUS A111 – Fundamentals of Music

Do you know a thing or two about music? If so, this class is just for you! This class will introduce students to the fundamentals of music. Topics to be discussed in class include scales, keys, rhythm, intervals, and music definitions.

9. PER A104 – Aerobic Walking

Walking is a HUGE part of being a college student. This class will take students through the technical skills of aerobic walking. Students will participate in walking classes geared towards helping you become fit and learn new skills before going into the jogging stage.

10. ASTR A103 – Solar System Astronomy

What exactly is beyond the stars? This class will examine the solar system. Topics to be discussed include instruments of astronomy, history of the universe, planets, physical properties, comets, star life, and the evolution of the solar system.

These classes can help you with the transition into college. These classes are very fun! Taking a course or two won’t even hurt you because you will get a huge GPA boost after! This can improve your overall cumulative GPA and help you when you are struggling in other classes as well.
