Top 10 Buildings You Need to Know at Texas State University

Texas State University is home to over 16, 000 students. Students will be able to study from an undergraduate and graduate level. This university is a public research university. It is located in the city of San Marco, Texas. It first was founded in 1899 and later opened as TSU in 1903 with only 303 students enrolled. Everyone knows the dreadfulness of not knowing where to go, especially if you’re new. Below are some of the buildings that you need to know at Texas State University so that you don’t get lost.

1. Performing Arts Center

This building is home to the Performing Arts Center. It is the home and the official house for the arts on campus. It is also the center of entertainment. Students will be able to find a number of rehearsal rooms, practice rooms, and offices for the performing arts.

2. Student Health Center

This building is home to the Student Health Center and the Pharmacy. Students will find a number of services here. This includes primary care, urgent care, mental health services, travel health, and the sports medicine offices.

3. Student Recreation Center

This is the Student Recreation Center which is home to all things exercise. Students will find a number of resources which includes exercise equipment, locker rooms, weight rooms, and more. Students will be able to also find a swimming pool and sauna here.

This building is home to the International Office. It allows students who are looking to study abroad or who are from abroad to have a safe place on campus. This building is home to the Study Abroad Office and lounge areas situated around the building.

The University Events Center has been recently renovated in order to expand the building. It offers the school athletic locker rooms, support spaces for sports, a sports basketball court called the Strahan Arena, and other event spaces.

6. Bruce and Gloria Ingram Hall

This building is home to the university’s largest academic building. This building is called Ingram Hall. Students will find the College of Science and Engineering here as well. This building houses large and small classrooms, laboratories, and offices.

This building is home to the the Archives and Research Center. Here, ARC provides a number of collections and research materials. Students will also be able to find a number of offices for research, research centers, meeting rooms, and offices.

8. Aqua Sports Center

This building houses the Aqua Sports Center. It is home to the central campus swimming pool. Students will be able to come here for recreational swimming purposes, swimming classes, swim training, and swimming competitions.
