Top 10 Residence Halls at UNCO

UNCO residence

At the University of Northern Colorado (UNCO), there are different places to live and enjoy your college experience. There are multiple residence halls (from suite style to traditional style rooms) to live at located in different locations of the campus. Residence hall contracts are for an academic year.

1. Harrison Hall

Harrison Hall

Address: 1400 23rd St, Greeley, CO 80631

This residence hall is closest to the Campus Recreation Center and Michener Library and is a short walk from Holmes Dining Hall and west campus academic buildings.

2. Lawrenson Hall

Lawrenson Hall

Address:  11th Ave, Greeley, CO 80639

Lawrenson Hall is a  17-story building with standard 4-person suites and 2-person studio apartment. Each floor contains a study lounge that allows students to use.  This is also located on West Campus of UNC.

3. North Hall

North Hall

Address: 2253 11th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631-6903

North Hall was built in 2009 and replaced McCowen Hall. This building is located on West Campus of UNC. It has different styles of suites, such as 4 people with 2 beds in each room with a living area. There is also a shared bedroom and 2 singles with a living area.

4. South Hall

South Hall

Address: 2323 11th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631-6947

Similarly to North Hall, South has the same style of suites for student living. It is just located further south on West Campus.

5. Turner Hall

Turner Hall

Address: 2310 13th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631-6948

The last one located on West Campus, Turner Hall is a 13-story resident hall which is home to 330 students.  This building features single bedrooms within 2-, 3-, or 5-people suites. So if you want a little more privacy Turner might be your best choice.

6. Bond Hall

Address: 809 19th St, Greeley, CO 80631-5570

Bond is located in Center Campus, along with Brown, Dickenson, Lujan. This has singles and double bedrooms. This is closer to certain things on campus and might be better if you want to enjoy the center of the university.

7. Brown Hall

Address: 901 19th Street, Greeley, CO 80631-5570

Brown Hall was built in 1930 and is home to 34 students. Brown Hall is part of Presidents Row community on Central Campus.
8. Snyder Hall

Address: 1910 10th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631-5522
Snyder Hall was built in 1936. In 1999, the building was renovated and has rooms that are specially designed for ADA accessibility. Snyder Hall has 3 floors in which they house around 108 students.

9. Hansen-Willis


Address: 1929 10th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631-5522

Hansen-Willis was built in 1999 and houses about 108 students on co-ed floors. Hansen-Willis is the front desk for Central Coalition, a group of residence halls on Central Campus.

10. Gordon Hall

Gordon Hall

Address: 1904 10th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631-5522

Gordon Hall was built in 1921 along with Belford and Decker Halls. Gordon Hall houses 28 students in two-person rooms with bathrooms and showers on each floor. Gordon has more of a homie touch to it compared to the others. It is located in Center Campus as well.

  • Bed sheets! (check the sizes of the beds before you buy them)
  • Comforter/blankets  (for the cold nights)

  • If any  specific foods/ snacks you eat due to dietary restrictions
  • (NOT FOOD) Bring Medication needed

3. Technology and Entertainment

Some classes might require a lot of usage of your laptop! Make sure you don't forget it!

5. Cleaning and Organizing

A few things to keep your rooms nice and clean

  • Handsoap (avoid the flu!)
  • Underbed storage (for extra clothes or supplies)
  • Paper Towels

7. Items you should ask first before bringing

You might be able to have a pet fish in some dorms! Just make sure you ask!
