The University of Victoria takes pride in showing its appreciation for all of their students. They have even just launched an indigenous law program. Staying on a campus like this is not regrettable. Here are some of the best places to reside on campus.

1) Craigdarroch Residences

At the Craigdarroch residence complex, students have the choice of applying for a single room or a double room. Also, all of the residences here are co-ed. Buildings were built between 1964 and 1967.

2) McGill Residences

McGill Residences are set up as dorms. They are mainly single rooms in which all students have private rooms. However, students will have to use communal washrooms. Yet, all students in these rooms get meal plans. As a college student, you’ll enjoy having the assurance that no matter what, you’ll eat.

3)  Lam Family Student Housing

Lam Family Student Housing is probably the best place to reside if you are a student with a family. Not only are you already close to class, but the school makes accommodations just for your family. UVic Child Care and Family Centre are right beside the residence. So, enjoy living independently in a beautiful townhouse or apartment while enjoying special arrangements to make your time in school easier.

4) Gordon Head Residences

All buildings located at Gordon Head have single rooms. The facilities are co-ed as well. That means that all students are welcomed. However, communal washrooms are still separate,  respectfully.

5) Lansdowne Residences

If you enjoy close, tight-knit communities the Lansdowne Residences are the best facilities that you could apply for. Each building only holds about 50 students a piece. So, enjoy less noise and more privacy. You will also have a choice of a double or single room.

6) Cluster Housing

One of the only apartment complexes for all students on campus, Cluster housing has to be one of the most sought-after residences. No student is required to get a meal plan that stays here and there is a full kitchen in each dorm. Originally, Cluster housing was created in 1994 to house athletes from around the world that would come for the Victoria Commonwealth Games. A new addition was added in 2003.

7) New Residences

Most of these buildings were created in 2004 as an initiative to create space for students coming directly out of high school. Most of the rooms are single rooms and everyone shares showers and washrooms. However, the South Towers, built in 2011 has 3 floors dedicated to upperclassmen that are apartment style rooms and single rooms.
